Product information "Kerry Ridgway's Myofascial Release Points, Start 01.04."
In the year 2012 I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to shadow Kerry Ridgway, DVM in his practice in Aiken, SC. Kerry was an equine veterinarian with all of his heart, he had dedicated his life to the wellbeing of horses. Whoever is familiar with endurance riding has maybe heard of the “Ridgway Protocol” which is the basis for judging if the horses are still fit to compete at the vet checks in a competition. Later in life Kerry turned to the field of acupuncture and found a number of myofascial release points that are a valuable tool to reduce the risk of tendon, ligament and joint injuries as well as for more suppleness and consequential training success.
Since Kerry unfortunately passed away early in 2016 and according to him no one else had ever studied with him that intensive, I have now – with the kind help of his wife Christine – taken on the task to pass on the knowledge I gained from him and especially the location and action of those points he had found.

Information about the Tutor
Dr. med. vet. Juliane Waas
In my years in veterinary practice, I experienced the limitations of Western medicine time and time again, even with the excellent veterinary schooling I received at the LMU's veterinary school in Munich (link).

As a consequence, I decided to study acupuncture for horses and dogs with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Besides a very thorough schooling, they offer access to a large network of internationally acknowledged acupuncture therapists. Through my membership in GERVAS (the German branch of IVAS), I am a current member of that network. Since acupuncture and osteopathy complement each other so well as holistic approaches, an additional education with the TAO (Veterinary Academy for Osteopathy) for treatment of horses and dogs was the next logical step for me.
It greatly improved my capabilities in therapeutic, as well as preventative, treatment. My comprehensive education in Western veterinary medicine and the two alternative techniques of acupuncture and osteopathy provide me the skills to overcome the limitations of each individual technique by using an approach that combines them.
This way, I can solve many health issues of your horse, cat, or dog that wouldn't be taken care of very well by using just one of them. For me, practicing this combined method provides me the impetus for constant, continued study of these techniques, in order to continue to offer the most up-to-date care options for your pets.
